Chuks Nwaogwugwu is a 1983 graduate of accounting of University of Benin. He also holds an MBA from the University of Lagos,1998.

Chuks won many academic prizes at the University of Benin including departmental and faculty prizes as the best graduating student in the faculty of business administration in 1983. Chuks was a federal Scholar for Academic Exellence between 1981 and 1983.

Chuks qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and is a fellow of the institute of Chartered accountants of Nigeria and an associate of Chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria Chuks has over 34 years post-qualification experience as a chartered Accountant,17 years of which was in banking, 7 in oil drilling service industry consulting and the rest principaly in business and financial consulting gained at the then Arthur Anderson & Co. he had extensive training both locally and internationally including Firmwide Audit Training School Chicago and Senior Development School Geneva, Switzerland, Euromoney London.

Chuks was at various times Chief Inspector, Financial Controller, Head of Division Operations,Regional Director,Business Developement of various banks in Nigeria with experience in Strategic Planning, Strategic Management,Organisational Review and Refinement , Tax Management ,Capital Markets,Treasury Management, Corporate Strategy,Change Management,Advanced Credit Management ,Business Restructuring, International Banking and Retail Banking etc. He is the current Bursar of Abia State University,and the Chairman,Board of director's Audit Committee
